New Year Cheer 2019: Cooperative Republic of Guyana

On 16th January, (Air Marshal) Dr. Pawan Kapoor, AVSM, VSM, and BAR (Retd.), Former Director General of Medical Services (IAF), Vice Chancellor and Dr. Dinesh Singla, Dean of Lincoln American University (LAU) met His Excellency Dr. David Goldwin Pollard, Guyana’s High Commissioner to the Republic of India and greeted him with New Year wishes on behalf of the entire team of LAU.

During the meeting, Dr. Kapoor briefed His Excellency Dr. Pollard about the University’s recent developments and initiatives. LAU is contributing towards the economic growth and social upliftment of Guyana by taking its social responsibilities, participating in community initiatives like medical outreach programs.
His Excellency Dr. Pollard was apprised about LAU’s future roadmap including development of University infrastructure in Guyana, betterment of existing facilities (including hostel, laboratories, library & sports), recruitment of more faculties to provide medical education, beef-up the medical awareness and work for the holistic upliftment of the healthcare system of Guyana. His Excellency Dr. Pollard was glad to know about the first medical university in the Caribbean region which is going an extra mile for delivering its social responsibilities.
These efforts are commensurate to LAU’s vision of being a transformational institution and benchmark of medical education in the Caribbean region and be a pioneer of medical excellence in Guyana.

Since the establishment of the University in 2016, LAU has come a long way and has become one of the fastest growing medical universities in Guyana and Caribbean region. Today, hundreds of students from different countries are studying at LAU, getting a quality medical education in South America, and moving forward on their path of becoming a doctor.

LAU’s Affordable fee structure, friendly atmosphere and academic excellence has helped many students in pursuing their dream of studying medicine in South America and become a doctor of international repute.

LAU is looking forward in helping many more, in all ways it can.
